Why Choose Faraway Yachting for Your Cabin Cruise in Koh Samui
Experience and Expertise
With nearly 30 years in business and over 900 five-star reviews, Faraway Yachting is Thailand's most trusted name in cabin charters. Our Gulf of Thailand itinerary has been designed and refined by experienced sailors who know these waters, these islands and the best anchorages in every season.

Why Choose a Cabin Charter in the Gulf of Thailand?
What is a Samui Cabin Charter?
A Samui Cabin Charter gives you the same premium sailing experience as a private yacht — without needing to book the entire boat. You reserve just your cabin and share the yacht with a small number of other guests. It is fully crewed with a captain, cook and deckhand, and all meals are included. It is the most affordable way to experience the Gulf of Thailand properly, with the comfort and service of a private charter at a fraction of the cost.
Who is a Cabin Cruise in the Gulf of Thailand perfect for?
Cabin cruises from Koh Samui are popular with couples, solo travellers and small groups of friends. Most cabins are doubles, making them ideal for honeymoons, anniversaries and romantic getaways. Solo travellers are equally welcome — many guests find the small group setting one of the highlights of the trip, with shared meals and activities creating genuine connections. The itinerary is active enough for those who want adventure and relaxed enough for those who simply want to be at sea.
Why sail from Koh Samui?
Koh Samui sits at the gateway to three of Thailand's most iconic destinations — Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and Ang Thong National Park. No other starting point in the Gulf puts all three within reach on a single six-day cabin charter. The northeast monsoon from December to March delivers reliable trade winds and calm seas, making this one of the finest sailing windows in Southeast Asia.
Tips for First-Time Cabin Charter Guests
Pack smart
Bring three swimsuits, a hat, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera. Towels and body soap are provided — bring your own shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer if needed.
Know the routine
On the first morning we'll brief you on safety, the itinerary and life onboard. Everything is straightforward and the crew are there to help throughout.
Seasickness
Tablets are available onboard. Most guests feel comfortable after the first day at sea. The Gulf of Thailand is generally calm, particularly December through April.
Onboard etiquette
Smoking is permitted at the stern only, away from meal times. Shared spaces are for everyone's comfort and enjoyment.
Special Occasions on a Samui Cabin Cruise
Honeymoons and Anniversaries
Few experiences match a week at sea in the Gulf of Thailand for romance. Sunsets over limestone islands, private anchorages and dinners under the stars make this cabin cruise a natural choice for honeymoons, anniversaries and proposals.
Group Celebrations
Small groups booking multiple cabins can save significantly compared to a private yacht charter. It is an excellent option for milestone birthdays, reunions and group trips where the shared experience is part of the appeal.
Solo Travellers
Solo guests are always welcome. The small group size — never more than eight guests — makes it easy to meet people, and many solo travellers leave having made lasting friendships.
